this reminds me of this one

the similarity (in my opinion) here is that both involve someone who thinks they are on a righteous crusade and both discover that their religion thinks what they are doing is wrong.

the Iranian cartoon comments are

cultural terrorism is with its apologies
with this step aiming disparaging Islam and at presenting it as religion
which calls with violence. It is in total contradiction with the democracy
and, in certain European countries, with the secularity which is based
on the respect of the scariness of all the religions.

yup no violence going on in that cartoon.... hmm except that caused by the god/religion itself...
