Interesting post. I also find it interesting how other countries compare themselves to america, as if this country sets the benchmark.
P.S. Are people outside of america really paying any attention to the presidential election? And is there an "international preference"?
Yes they are paying attention. if an election was held in NZ Obama would win by something in the order of 80% - 20%. Obama is a huge favorite.
